Default W&B Tool

A much sought after feature has now been added to the new Flight & Duty Tracker (FV Operations) - default W&B tool.

Clicking W&B tool icon on the main Flights page allows you to select your aircraft from a dropdown list. Then setup the fields as you would normally.

When you receive a flight request (via CAD) or create a flight manually and the tail numbers match the information here will be transferred to the first leg. This should speed up the process by allowing pilots to pre-fill their W&B when they first come on duty.

Chat

Dear Customer,

 A new feature has been added – “Chat”.

 “Chat’s” purpose is to allow for direct communication between OCC personnel and PIC’s.

 All users will see a chat icon on the status bar next to the reminders bell and messages envelope.  When a PIC clicks this icon they may send a message to all OCC personnel.

 OCC personnel will receive this message from the new Chat tab within the OCC module.  This allows for communication of important information before a request is received – things like base status, crew status, aircraft status, etc.

 Once a request has been assigned chats can be initiated by OCC via the chat icon on the Request tab.  This icon is not yet implemented but will be soon.

The Chat feature will be further refined – for now give it a try.

Admin Staff user permissions

We recently updated the TRAINING site that has had an impact on the Admin Staff user accounts losing the SuperAdmin slider.

To restore this functionality you can follow these steps.

  1. SuperAdmin -> Personnel -> User Groups

  2. Add a new group called “Admin SuperStaff”

  3. Priority is up to you

  4. Add the permissions like this:

    1. SuperAdmin = Read/Write

  5. SAVE

  6. Go to Personnel

  7. Select the Admin Staff user you want to modify

  8. You’ll see a new “Select Group” box click in it

  9. Select the new user group you created in step 4

  10. Click the check to save

  11. Please do this for the FDT Admin Staff account as well


AVSTAR and CTS Integration

Work has begun on these two systems communicating with Flight & Duty Tracker. We are anticipating these integrations will be ready in about 4 weeks time. Basic idea:

FDT will query the learning management system, at least nightly, for any newly completed training. FDT will then update Master Tracking completion and next expiration dates automatically and will record the entries made in Personnel -> Training/Evaluations.
